I agree with whoever put the note in sound off about not getting a job with the county. I have applied many times and never gotten an interview. I did graduate and some out there did not but are still working for the county. I guess it is who you know.
Very upset :

I’d like to make everyone aware of the fact that Progress Energy is raising our rates in order to pay for construction of the new plant , but is paying the contacting companies more money than they should be. I personally know of employees of the contracting companies that are getting paid up to $500.00 perdiem per week for falsefying information about where they live. They get paid this extra money for traveling from places like Orlando or Tampa, but in reallity, they live here in town 10 to 20 minutes away. The contracting company gets paid even more money per employee before they pay their workers and we are the ones paying for it all by what Progress Energy calls a necessary monthly increase to the consumer.

This is too all those people looking for something to do on these hot miserable days. Take a look at some local Antique Shops, I found one on Hwy 19 in Homossasa called Antique Mall. It is wonderful, cheap and lots and lots of things for everyone. The people are nice and friendly with no pressure to buy anything. Take a look!
Citrus County Unemployment :

If every business, big or small would hire at least one person, full or part time, this county may just survive this depression we are having. Those people would have money to spend and stay alive. I realize this is hard for alot of businesses but think about it, your business may thrive because more people are working. Help Citrus County Help itself!
