Senator Dean’s New Barn?

Citrus County Sound OFF No Comments

Seems like Senator Charlie Dean still has the “Good Ole Boy” mentality that he possessed as Sheriff of Citrus County.

Senator Dean's New Barn?

Senator Dean's New Barn?

He has built this barn on his property here in Citrus County and has paid no impact fees and pulled no permits. Which if would be fine if this was just a barn, but look at it. Does it look like “just a Barn”?

Opinions Differ but this looks like a house with an attached barn to me. Read the Entire story on Bay News 9

Is quiet Citrus County turning more violent? Is the crime rate going up? Is this all just a sign of the times?

Wednesday morning around 4:40 am an Inverness man reported being shot in the shoulder by an unknown assailant.  Then just before 5:00 am on the other side of Inverness, a man reportedly stumbles into an all night restaurant on Hwy 41.

He had been slashed in the neck and wrist with a knife or some kind of cutting instrument and was airlifted to Tampa Bay’s St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment. In the man’s own words, he told authorities he’d been the victim of a robbery on the Withlacoochee State Trail in the vicinity of the Mossy Oak mobile home park nearby.

I thought we were in Florida

County News, Events, General Info, Opinions, Weather - Storm Information No Comments

Wow, it’s cold out.

How did I teleport north? I thought Citrus County was in Florida. Last night in Homosassa the temperature was 32° at 8:45 pm. Right now at 6:30 am the temperature is 19°!

Originally I am from Michigan and I could very easily get used to this weather. However, if we are going to have to put up with it we might as well get snow. Hey now, you should call me those things, it’s not nice.

Seriously it has been really cold the last couple of weeks, but they say it is going to warm up by the weekend. We should see temps in the mid 70′s Saturday and Sunday. Which personally I think that kind of weather is perfect.

After having these sub freezing conditions it will be nice to get out of the house this weekend. Maybe visit a park or wander around the flea markets. Just to get out and enjoy yourselves while it lasts. I don’t think that we have seen the last of the cold weather yet.
