Sandbag locations and other storm info

Please stay tuned to our Blog for more information as we get it, including any school closures or storm shelters if they are needed. The following is from the EOC website.
Citrus County government officials are opening three sandbag sites as of 2:00 pm today. The sandbag sites will be at the following locations: Grandmarch Avenue off of Grover Cleveland Boulevard in Homosassa, 44 East of Crystal River near Dan’s Clam Stand (7490 W. Gulf to Lake Highway), and 44 East of Inverness behind the East Citrus Community Center. These sites will be open today from 2:00 pm to 8:30 pm and again tomorrow, Friday, August 22, 2008 from 7:00 am to 8:30 pm. Bagging will be provided at all three sites.
The City of Crystal River has opened a sandbag site behind the Crystal River Fire Department located at 650 N.W. 3rd Avenue today from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm and again tomorrow, Friday, August 22, 2008 at 8:00 am. Sand and bags will be provided, however, citizens will need to do their own bagging.
